A man of action, he is recognized for his ability to coherently analyze and for his skills to bring about solutions and ideas.
From 1968 to 1986, he worked in the oil industry sector, as sales engineer, sales manager, product manager and eventually as director of marketing for the province of Québec for Esso Petroleum Canada. Part of his responsibilities was to develop strategies for the import and export of petroleum and its derivatives and he actively participated in all matters pertaining to the company's international trades. Subsequently, in 1986, he became the founding president of Gestion et Consultation C. S. Boulet Inc.
